Course
Golf Club Management: A Hands-On Training Course
How a South African golf club is run as an organisation: governance, strategy, culture, systems, risk and technology, with a club diagnostic.
Draft module material for the PGA of South Africa Director of Golf certificate, for discussion. South African law applies throughout. It is general education, not legal or financial advice: Acts, regulations and codes change, so check the current version and take advice before acting on them.

About this module
- Module 04 of the PGA of South Africa Director of Golf certificate: how a club is managed as an organisation, not how each department does its daily work
- Fourteen lessons built around the brief's eleven core sections, each with theory, a golf club example, a critical view, seminar questions and a workplace task
- Assessment: a 2,500 to 3,000 word Club Management Diagnostic of a fictional Gauteng club, with a marking rubric
- South African law throughout: the OHS Act, COIDA, POPIA, B-BBEE, the Employment Equity Act, provincial liquor acts, the National Water Act and King V
- Every lesson cites peer-reviewed research and industry data, and says how strong the evidence behind each framework is
